MathCounts Regional Competitions

VSE is pleased to announce that five members, Chris Benda, Carolyn Carlson, Callie Ewald, KC Norris and Ken Robie have volunteered their time to assist with MathCounts this year.  VSE has also made a financial contribution of $200 to support this great event.

MathCounts is a national middle school coaching and competitive mathematics program that promotes mathematics achievement through a series of fun and engaging “bee” style contests. Vermont's MathCounts program is in its 29th year and focuses on middle school students in their formative years to encourage them to consider careers in math, science or engineering. Students in 6th, 7th, and 8th grades are eligible to participate in MathCounts.

Four MathCounts Regional Competitions are being held in February.  The event organizers are currently looking for volunteers.  If you are interested, please contact the appropriate regional event coordinator listed below.
