Toys for Tots Holiday Social - Recap

The 2nd Annual Toys for Tots Holiday Social was held on December 8th at the Farmhouse Tap and Grill in Burlington.  The event was co-hosted by VSE and ASCE and was well attended by over 30 lovers of beer and engineering societies.   It was a great evening to catch up with those who are dedicated to our great profession.  Thank you to all who attended and gave back to the community.

Toys for Tots Holiday Social


The second annual Toys for Tots holiday social, sponsored by ASCE will be held on Thursday, December 8th, 5 pm-7pm.  We will be meeting in the basement room of the Farmhouse Tap and Grill at 160 Bank Street in Burlington. Everyone that brings a gift for toys-for-tots will receive a ticket for a free drink. We hope to see you at this fun event and to support a great cause.

Past Officers Dinner Recap

On November 3, 2011, VSE held it's annual Past Officers Dinner at Michael's on the Hill Restaraunt in Waterbury, VT.  Many past officers attended the event, and were recognized for their contributions to VSE.  All in attendance enjoyed some beverages (the Pumpkin Ale was a crowd favorite), dined on a culinary masterpiece, and listened to a fascinating account of shipwrecks on Lake Champlain spanning the Revolutionary Era to the mid-1900's.

Past Officers Dinner, November 3, 2011

On November 3, 2011, the Vermont Society of Engineers will hold the Annual Past Officers Dinner at Michael's on the Hill in Waterbury, VT.  The event recognizes the past contributions of the Vermont Engineers who were and continue to be dedicated to the betterment of our profession.

This year's keynote presentation will be the Shipwrecks of Lake Champlain.  Adam Kane, Co-Director at the Lake Champlain Maritime Museum will tell us about the over 300 shipwrecks in the dark, cold water of Lake Champlain, and the feats of heroism and the tragedies associated with these wrecks.
